Analytical Paragraph
The character Doug from Blue Diamond is a hero like Luke Skywalker because they both helped someone in need, traveled out of their comfort zones, and accomplished their tasks. The first reason why Doug is a hero is that he helped a friend in need. Doug helped his friend Quinn when he was considering committing suicide, he stuck with Quinn in Las Vegas while they were there because Doug is a good friend. Luke helped someone in need when he helped princess Leah deliver the message to the rebel base on Yavin. The second reason that Doug is a hero like Luke is that in Blue Diamond is that he was pulled out of his comfort zone and pushed through the experience and managed to save his friend. Luke was pushed out of his comfort zone on the Death Star while they were trying to save princess Leah from the Imperial Army. Doug was pushed out of his comfort zone when he was being forced to go to Las Vegas with Quinn as well as when he bought the diamond from the man in the parking ramp. Lastly, Doug should be considered a hero because he accomplished has task, just like Luke. After he made Quinn promise to not commit suicide he accomplished his task. Luke accomplished his task after destroying the Death Star and delivering the message to the rebels. To me, Doug should be considered a hero as much as Luke. Doug saved a human life, if that doesn't make you a hero, i don't know what does.
